Belmont Pumpkin Farm: The Sequel

The kids and I went out to the Belmont Pumpkin Farm today and met up with some other families from MOMS Club.  This was our second year to go out to the farm.  To read about last year's trip, click here

We started the morning visiting the animals.

Trenton enjoyed looking at the animals until he noticed.....

...Tractors!  Tractors were pulling hayrides out to the corn maze and the pumpkin patches.  Trenton didn't want to do anything else until we went to see the tractors.  The kids loved the hayride out to the pumpkin patch and helped me pick out a pumpkin to take home.  The farm can't keep up with all of the visitors that come out to pick pumpkins, so they bring in pumpkins from off-site and put them out in the field in addition to having the ones that are grown in their fields.  We picked out a little one that we had to pull off of the vine ourselves.

After we ate lunch (and some super yummy pumpkin roll for dessert), we made a scarecrow.  This wasn't just any old scarecrow.  We made Daddy Scarecrow!  Daddy Scarecrow needs to work out a little more if he wants to pass the PRT!  He got so tired sitting next to Trenton that he had to catch a nap in the stroller with Charlotte!

Belmont has a great play area for the kids.  Trenton couldn't do anything by himself last year, but this year he was climbing on everything and having a ton of fun with his friends.

The kids were worn out after such a fun outing and slept most of the way home.  We can't wait to go back to Belmont Pumpkin Farm next year!
