Christmas in the Smith Home

At 3:30am this morning, I wasn't quite sure that our Christmas would be so great.  I was up with Charlotte once again.  It wasn't her ears this time - it was stomach issues...ugh!  I finally got her back down around 5:45, and everyone in the house slept until 8:00.  Thankfully, Charlotte woke up a happy girl as did everyone else.

Santa brought us a new babysitter - a Geotrax Christmas Town Train Set.  The train set is for both kids and will be put out every year at Christmas.  I'm not sure that we'll be able to put it away any time soon though.  Trenton played with it pretty much all day!  Charlotte likes watching it and doesn't seem to mind right now that Trenton likes to hog it.  Santa also brought a radio flyer push wagon for Charlotte and an easel for Trenton.

Trenton was having so much fun with the train, that this was the face we got when we suggested that we open all of our other gifts.

Once Trenton saw Daddy and Charlotte opening gifts, he finally joined in on the fun.

We stuck around the house the rest of the day.  Charlotte had several make out sessions with her Baby's First Kisses doll and even gave Trenton a ride in her push wagon.  Trenton has the concept of "under" down.  Since the Christmas train can run both on and off the track, he took it all around the house making it go "uh-dee" anything he could.  Bailey was not very cooperative in Trenton's efforts to steer the train under him.

Now we're watching the snow come down outside.  It is supposed to snow all night, all day tomorrow, and into the night tomorrow.  The forecasted amounts are rising with each new weather report.  Too bad Santa didn't bring me that snow shovel I asked for!

We hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas!
