Which also translates to - It's the Most BUSY Time of the Year! Especially when the hubster isn't home to help out. Thankfully he'll be back from the ship's latest underway soon.
So what have we been up to???
Trying to get Charlotte healthy. Charlotte's first ear infection turned into a month long event paired with horrible colds that eventually led to needing a chest x-ray. When the alternative is pneumonia, a diagnosis of bronchitis sounds pretty good. Thankfully, she seems to be getting better and is having fun being more mobile and playing with her brother.
Trying to get Trenton to talk. We started worrying about Trenton's speech (or lack thereof) earlier this fall when all of the words that he had been saying suddenly turned into "yaya." I talked it over with Trenton's doctor, and she gave me the number to local speech therapy services. Trenton had his initial assessment last month, and then a full evaluation last week. He is at 24 months for receptive language - he understands very well - but is at a 16 month level for his expressive language. A speech therapist will be coming out to the house once a week to work with Trenton. We have noticed an increase in the amount of words Trenton has been using the past few weeks though. He's even putting a few two-word phrases together. My favorite - "ma hay." "Ma" is Trenton's word for more. It took me a little while to figure out what hay was. At first I thought he was saying "hey." Then I thought he was trying to say hair. I finally realized that he was talking about Frosted Mini Wheats! I guess they do look like hay!
I've been staying busy with my Esty store. These furry leg warmers have been big sellers this season. I think it's the cute model!
We are planning on visiting Santa once Daddy gets home, so look for pictures soon!
