We spent our Easter afternoon at Harbor Park watching a Norfolk Tides (a Triple-A farm team of the Baltimore Orioles) baseball game. We had front row seats along the right field foul line. For a 1:15PM game, that meant HOT seats! These two didn’t last too long in the sun and soon moved to a shadier spot.
Trenton, on the other hand, didn’t mind the heat (or being bathed in sunscreen every 30 minutes) one bit. He loved being close to all the action!
Trenton and I moved over to where Daddy and Charlotte were sitting around the middle of the 6th inning. I don’t think either kid was watching any baseball at this point, but they did have fun goofing around!
Although Trenton loved watching the baseball game, I think his favorite part of our outing was when he got to meet this policeman as we were getting ready to leave. Trenton asked the policeman all about his car and if it goes, “Weeoooweeoooweeooo.” Hopefully if Trenton has any future encounters with the police force, they are as friendly as this one!
When we left the game at the end of the 9th inning, the game was tied 4-4. It went eleven innings, but just as we were pulling in our driveway, the Tides pulled out the win, beating the Durham Bulls 6-5.
