The weather was beautiful here today, but we got a pretty big rain last night (as we have most nights this week) and now have water standing in our backyard.
Trenton saw the sun this morning and wanted to go outside.
“It’s too wet to play in the yard today,” I told him.
To which he replied…
“It NOT raining!”
Gotta love those two year olds!
I knew I had to figure out something to keep this little boy and his sister busy so that we wouldn’t all go crazy. While they were both down for their afternoon naps, I got out everything I needed to make one of my favorite childhood sweet treats – Big Red Ice Cream.
The recipe is extremely easy, and the kids had a blast making it.
And their favorite part was getting to taste the ice cream straight out of the container!
Big Red Ice Cream
6 12-oz. cans Big Red
2 14-oz. cans Sweetened Condensed Milk
Mix soda and sweetened condensed milk together and freeze in ice cream freezer.
How easy is that? And super yummy!
