Trenton went fishing this morning. He even managed to catch four fish at one time! I didn’t catch a picture of the four fish at once catch, but I promise it’s not a tall tale!
Here is Trenton’s first catch.
Yep, that’s right. The fish were goldfish crackers and the fishing pole was a celery stick with peanut butter on the end.
I got the idea out of the most recent issue of Turtle magazine (a magazine that I got when I was little too!).
Trenton loved catching fish with his celery stick fishing pole. He even took a couple of bites of the celery and told me that he liked it. He didn’t like the texture though (a major issue with his eating habits), and kept spitting out each bite he took.
Charlotte didn’t go fishing, but she did eat her fair share of goldfish and did a pretty good job at gnawing on a celery stick.
This snack was a big hit. Looks like we’ll be going fishing again soon!

Hi Jenny! I found your blog through Pinterest! What a great idea! I featured it on my blog here:

I used this for my son's preschool snack today. :)
eeek! this is adorable! saw you on pinterest :)
Adorable! If only my daughter liked peanut butter - she is the only one in the world who doesn't! Will have to try with my youngest!
Looks like he's the fisherman of the family. That biscuit reminds me of a chocolate I once ate when I was young, Knick Knacks! Have you tasted that one? If I'm not mistaken it was manufactured in Switzerland. It looks just like that fish Trenton caught.
I wonder if cream cheese would work, maybe your daughter could try that.
Great idea! Thanks! I linked up to this on my blog: http://sswoot.blogspot.com/2012/03/5-rainy-day-activities-with-adorable.html

What a cute idea!
Haha! With stories like this, you can tell how imaginative a child is! :D Nice! This was just a simple fishing game for him, but with his own twist, it turned out to be fantastic! Well, did Trenton ever try the real fishing? I’m sure he’ll love it!
Could use nutella too instead of peanut butter.
