Mommy Time

I love my kids to heaven and back, but with Jarrod being deployed, I rarely get a break from my mommy duties.  I came to the realization a couple weeks ago that I needed to find someone to keep the kids on a regular basis so that I can have some “me time”.

School is starting back up soon, and our regular babysitter won’t be available during the day for very much longer.  So, I started looking into in-home care providers.

We checked out three different places, and I was glad to find one that I was really comfortable with.  She works perfectly for us.  Our schedule is constantly changing, and she is willing to take my kids on a drop-in basis.  I am planning on taking one day a week to run errands, work around the house, and have some down time.

The kids spent their first day with the new sitter today.  They had a wonderful time!  They both ate good, took good naps, and had lots of fun.  They came home with a picture that they colored together, and Trenton asked if he could go back tomorrow!

I had a great day too.  I was able to get a haircut, pedicure, pick up my repaired computer, and do some shopping all before I came home to do some cleaning.  But the best part of it all is that I feel refreshed, less stressed, and ready to be the best mommy I can be!
