Charlotte turned 18 months old a couple weeks ago, so I am a little behind with this.
It is amazing that I don’t have any gray hair yet. I’m sure that this girl will give me plenty though! Especially when I find her doing stuff like this…
I don’t call her my little mountain goat for nothing! The girl climbs everything!
At 18 months, Charlotte had eight teeth. Since then she has gotten three more – all molars – and they all popped up in the span of three days! Those were some really fun days around our house!
Charlotte is a little chatterbox. The girl always has something to say. She has started putting two word phrases together here and there, but she still mostly talks using one word at a time. I have no idea how many words she has in her vocabulary, but it is a lot!
For all of the sleeping problems Charlotte had early on, she has thankfully become a pretty good sleeper.
Charlotte’s favorite toy is the one that her brother is playing with. Her favorite food is whatever Trenton is eating. Her favorite drink is the one that is in his cup. See a trend here? The trend has lead to screaming, crying, timeouts, and a garage becoming full of toys that have been taken away, but so far no epiphany that sharing (at least of the toys) is the best way to go! Trenton has his good days and his not so good days with sharing, but Charlotte either doesn’t quite understand the concept yet, doesn’t mind getting in trouble, or just enjoys making her brother mad!
Charlotte had her 18-month check-up this afternoon. The doctor was happy with her weight gain, but her height is still a little on the low side. Dr. Altman isn’t overly concerned, but she does want Charlotte back in three months for another growth check (she would normally not be seen again until her 2-year visit). Here are Charlotte’s stats:
Height: 30 1/4 inches (11th percentile)
Weight: 23 lbs., 2 oz. (30th percentile)
Head Circumference: 17 3/4 inches (13th percentile)
Daddy sure is going to be surprised when he gets home and sees how much his baby girl has grown up!
