Sidewalk chalk paint is so much cooler than regular old sidewalk chalk! And it’s crazy easy to make!
It’s simply 1 part cornstarch to 1 part water.
I made two muffin tins of paint and used 1-1/2 cups cornstarch and 1-1/2 cups water. Once it was all mixed up, I divided it among the 12 muffin cups, and added two drops of food coloring to each muffin cup.

My kids had a blast! And even with the food coloring, the paint didn’t stain. It came off the driveway, shoes, clothes, hands, and legs without staining a thing.
Thanks to Domestic Charm for giving me this fun idea!

Great idea...i love the colours and pics! I make something very similar as a finger paint with cornflour. Thanks for sharing with the Weekly kids Co-Op!
Thanks! I'd love to hear about your finger paint recipe. Sounds neat!
Haha aww! They're so cute! I love the colors you made. I'm stopping by from SITS. I hope you and your family are having a great weekend!
How cute is this! Your kids look like they're having so much fun :)
Visiting from SITS!
Fabulous idea! Thanks for sharing. And for anwering the question about staining -- I was wondering.
Stopping by from SITS. Have a great weekend.
What fun! This is one of the things we miss about not living in town. The closet paved anything is 4 miles away. And since that's a highway, we wont be painting it! Found you from SITS.
***closest*** ha! Sorry!
Thanks! And I hope that you're having a great time relaxing on the beach!
Thanks! It was a great time! The kids are already asking when they can do it again!
I was a little worried about staining, and I was so glad when the "paint" came out of everything so easily.
Hope you have a great weekend too!
Ha! I don't think I would paint the highway either! I grew up in the country, but our house was off of a paved road. I do miss country living though. I will probably get more than my fill of it though when I take the kids back to Texas next month. July heat + mosquitos = not the smartest vacation planning!
It looks like wonderful, creative fun! I'll have to try this with my boys. They love paint and chalk, so what a great idea to combine the two. I'm pinning this!
And it was so easy! I love when I don't have to go shopping for supplies!
Hi there! We did these last summer and I just mentioned you in my blog! Thanks for the great idea and wonderful pictures!

My daughter loves when I make this. It is great for play dates too. Thanks for sharing!
Hi, Is there any way to store these or are they make-use-clean up? I was thinking they could be a cute birthday gift or something. Thanks.
Can't wait to try this. WE made home-made play-doh last week! I'm a new follower via Twitter adn Pinterest:)

Would it be possible to make a large batch and store them? Or to package as a gift? Or does it need to be used right away?
