He’s Baaaaack!

Snickers 11-24

Yep, that’s right – Snickers is back watching over the Smith kiddos.  I wonder what trouble he’ll get himself into this year!  To look back at the fun Snickers had last year, click here.

And of course, Snickers had to bring his favorite cookies – Snickerdoodles.

Snickerdoodles

Want me to let you in on a secret?  I made these while the kids were awake!

They were in their playroom last night excited to be getting to stay up later than normal to watch Frosty the Snowman on TV.  Jarrod and I had told them that they had to stay upstairs until it was time for Frosty to start.

So I got to work on the cookies.

With some help from the Dough Boy.

Snickerdoodle Mix

I mean, you didn’t think I could get a whole batch of homemade cookies made without my kids knowing, did you?

And I almost did get caught.

I went upstairs to see what the kids were up to after I finished the cookies.  Trenton met me at the top of the stairs.

“Mommy, what’s that calicious smell coming from the kitchen?”

“Oh, that?  That’s my cinnamon candle, RIGHT DADDY?”

“What?  Oh, yeah.  Yes.  The cinnamon candle is on.”  (As Jarrod is turning the Scentsy burner on.)

And Trenton went back to playing.  Whew!  That was a close one!
