The past two days have taken on a bit of a transportation theme for us.
Yesterday one of our friends invited the kids and me to tour a historic DC-3 airliner with her.
Trenton misunderstood me at first and thought that we were going to go see the movie “Planes.” We were just on an airplane a couple weeks ago, so he didn’t understand why we wanted to go on another one if it wasn’t going to take us to Texas.
Once I told him that he would probably get to sit in the pilot’s seat, he was excited!
Small planes kind of scare me, but I was fine with us staying on the ground!
I’m pretty sure my little pilot wannabe would have been fine with taking off though!
This week is Monterey Car Week. Expensive cars, exotic cars, classic cars – you name it, it’s in town this week.
This afternoon after both kids were done with school, we went down to Pacific Grove to check out the Little Car Show with friends.
The kids loved that a lot of the cars were their size!
The kids agreed that the best “cool car” was the little black car with the tiny trailer hauling a miniature motorcycle.
Well, except for Charlotte. Her favorite thing at the car show was this collapsible couch/chair thing.
She even decided that she wants to write a letter to Santa Claus – right now in the middle of August – to tell him that she wants one of these for Christmas!
So now that we’ve seen planes and cars, I wonder where we can find some boats to check out…
