I’m at the halfway point in my pregnancy today!
And in less than 48 hours we *should* know if this baby is a boy or a girl. I say should because it took several ultrasounds with Charlotte before they were able to say with some certainty that I was having a girl. Hopefully this baby will be more cooperative!
I’ve taken four online gender predictor quizzes. Three have said that this baby is a girl, and one said that it’s a boy. Trenton is still absolutely sure that it’s a boy, and Charlotte still thinks that she’s going to have a little sister (who she has decided to name Ariel). For some reason I keep thinking boy, but I certainly don’t have perfect intuition. Jarrod hasn’t really weighed in on gender predicting – other than saying he’s not sure if he could handle another girl if she were as big of a handful as Charlotte.
What to take a guess?
If you’re into wives tales and want to make a more “educated” guess, here’s some info on my pregnancy:
Due Date: 1/20/14
Mother’s Age at Conception: 29
Fetal Heartbeat: 7w – 136bpm, 9w1d - 183bpm, 13w1d – 165bpm, 16w2d – 156bpm
Cravings: I ate broccoli every day for about two weeks, but I haven’t touched it since. Otherwise, I haven’t really had any out of the ordinary cravings (other than food in general!).
Skin: Hello, acne! My face has gone back to the teenage years.
Leg Hair: I hardly ever have to shave! This has definitely been a welcomed change!
Nausea: I felt horrible for most of my first trimester. I never threw up (other than twice after eating curry – weird baby apparently doesn’t like it), but there were many times I wished that I would because I thought that it might make me feel a bit better.
Headaches: I had a lot of headaches toward the end of the first trimester and the beginning of the second. Thankfully, those have subsided.
Lightheadedness: Thankfully this not-so-nice pregnancy symptom hasn’t shown itself in a while either.
So there you have it! Come back in a few days for some sort of reveal!
