End of the Season

Saturday marked Trenton’s final soccer game of the season.

How do you like that undershirt?  Yep, Mommy was behind on laundry!

Trenton came a long way since the season began, and really started to understand the game.  Yes, he still had his moments of not paying attention, complaining that his socks itched him, or deciding smack dab in the middle of play that he needed a drink, but he seemed to really enjoy himself out on the field.

I loved watching this cute team play all season – even if they scored more goals for the other teams than they scored for themselves.

After Saturday’s game they had a little awards ceremony where each kid got a medal and a certificate with the team picture.

I asked Trenton to get next to his coach so that I could get a picture of them together….

While I’m looking forward to having my Monday evenings and Saturday mornings free again, I’ll miss seeing my little guy out on the soccer field having fun.

My son played Soccer when he was this age. He plays football now and he loves it. It takes up a ton of our time but when it's over I miss it. This will be our first week without something to do on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Pretty sure I won't know what to do with myself!

He looks so much older! And that picture with him covering the coaches face is pretty funny. haha

So adorable! And fun that he's starting to "get" it. Those uniforms are infinitely more tolerable than the neon green and yellow ones they have here.

Hahahaha! PERFECT picture with his coach ;)
This makes me really excited to watch Mia play a sport and dance when she gets older! I love that they learn so much from playing with a team. Discipline, coordination, friendship, etc! And they learn that practice truly does pay off!
