A Beautiful Butterfly Tea Party

We had Charlotte’s fourth birthday party today at the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History.

Charlotte wanted a butterfly party, and what better place than the monarch butterfly capital of the United States.

Our only responsibility for the party was the cake.

Butterfly Birthday Cake - Small heart cakes for the wings, cupcakes for the body, twizzler antennae and mouth, and mini chocolate chip eyes

Everything else was covered – pizza, drinks, decorations, activities, take home favors.

I was absolutely in love with the decorations in the party room.  It was so cute!  And I loved the mismatched china and patchwork tablecloths.  With a group of kids ranging in ages from 22 months to 5 years it was a wonder nothing got broke!  They all did a great job being careful!

The party coordinator led the kids in outside activities – digging for fossils, decorating seed packets, making newspaper flowerpots, planting seeds, playing in a birds nest, and flower pounding.

The kids also were led through the museum on a scavenger hunt.

It was such a cute little party, and really easy for me.

And Charlotte sure enjoyed having fun with all of her friends!
