I’ve been…

The Husband’s Secret.  If you can call it reading.  It’s a really good book, but I’ve been working on it since before Evelyn was born.

I’m also reading The Mass: Four Encounters with Jesus that will Change Your Life for CWOC and really enjoying it.

I’d like to read some Civil War and Revolutionary War historical fiction or good history books to gear up for a Pennsylvania move.  Any recommendations?

Nashville.  Love that show and can’t wait for new episodes to start again.  Jarrod and I are also really enjoying Turn – the new series about General George Washington’s spy ring during the Revolutionary War.

Listening to
a lot of the Disney Pandora station.

this little girl’s infectious smiles!

Not enjoying
poopy diapers.  Evelyn has 5-7 per day.  She cries nearly every time she needs to poop until she actually has the BM.  Then she’s fine.  Anyone else have a formula fed baby poop this much?

our cross country drive.  I’ve already got two nights booked at Yellowstone!

Charlotte’s preschool artwork.  It’s amazing how her paintings have evolved from just mixing a bunch of colors together on a page into pictures that I can recognize without having to ask her about them.

Charlotte says that this is me, and she swears that those are eyebrows, but I think they look more like my under eye circles!

Marinated Chicken Fajita Kabob’s Marinade I used: 2T olive oil, 1T fresh lime juice, 2t chili powder, 2t cumin, 1/2t garlic powder, 1/2t dried oregano, 1/4t salt, 1/4t pepper, and 1/4t red pepper flakes. Best healthy dinner we've had in a long time!

Perfect summer drink! Blend 1 can frozen limeade, 1 cup rum, 1/2 can sprite, 2 cups frozen strawberries, and muddle with mint and the pulp of two limes.

girls’ nights.  It’s been far too long!

dirty (like REALLY dirty) clothes.  And trying to explain to this little man that it’s okay to like playing in the mud, but getting covered from head to toe in mud playing “mud monsters” with friends at school probably isn’t the best idea.

workout clothes.  I’m back down to my pre-pregnancy weight, but not my pre-pregnancy body.  I’m working on it though!

What about you?  What have you been up to lately?
