A Trip Around the World

Saturday we went down to NPS for International Day.  The school hosts students from all over the world, and on International Day each country represented – 36 in all - hosts a booth with food from their country.

The event was pretty crowded, but it’s easy to spot your kid in the crowd when you dress like twinsies.

I totally didn’t plan this.  Charlotte came in my bathroom while I was getting ready and was so excited that she was dressed like Mommy.  She wanted to take a picture together too – until we pulled the camera out!

Okay – back to the event.

These two were ready to explore.

And they just love foreign foods.

Yep, that’s chocolate from Belize and cake from Denmark.  They also liked bread from Romania.  They have really refined tastes…

But Jarrod and I?

We were in food heaven.

There was so. much. food.  And we tried a lot of it.  Curry, kraut, shrimp, bean patties, and tons of stuff that I forgot the names to.  And we really liked almost all of it.

Some countries had dance groups that performed and there were also bounce houses for the kids.

Evelyn napped for a while in her stroller, and then woke up and watched intently as we all stuffed our faces.

A good time was had by all.

But it’s time for Mommy and Daddy to hit the gym again tomorrow!

Sounds like a ton of fun! Our college was full of international students and had heritage day every year that was similar!

What a fun idea and LOVE that you guys are twins! I'm hoping for a little girl so we can be twins one day too.
