Happy Halloween 2014!

Happy Halloween!

Our county had trick or treating last night, so we got a head start on all of the Halloween festivities.

We had Dracula, a frog (whose hat was too big and looked more like a one eyed monster), and a witch.

Trenton’s costume was comprised of a cape that my brother wore 20-something years ago when he was Zorro for Halloween, some uniform pants from Old Navy, a shirt that he already had, and some makeup.

Evelyn wore a hat from Etsy, a tutu that I made (I already had the tulle on-hand), a green onesie, and some tights.

Charlotte’s costume was easy too.  A tutu that I made, (I already had most of this tulle on-hand too), a black shirt and leggings, a witch hat, and a broom.

So three cheap and easy, but super cute costumes!

Trenton and Charlotte were able to wear costumes to school today.  I really didn’t think that a vampire and a witch were very appropriate for Catholic school – especially on Mass day, so we modified Trenton’s costume to make him a magician, and Charlotte went as one of the dozen or so Elsas that were walking around the school.

The school held a Halloween parade this afternoon that Evelyn and I attended.

Apparently marching in a parade is serious business for Charlotte.

Trenton, on the other hand, was doling out magic tricks left and right as his class walked in.

The parade ended with a dance party, and then it was time for the classes to go back to their classrooms for Halloween parties.  I’m sure we’ll have some hyper kids on our hands this afternoon!

I hope that you all have a happy and safe Halloween, and I can’t wait to see all of your costume creations!

How adorable!! I love all of their costumes! Happy Halloween!
I'm curious, any idea why trick or treat was last night? I've seen people doing it as early as last week. I understand moving it when Halloween falls mid-week, but I wasn't sure why people weren't just waiting until today.

You're the tulle queen! Looove those cute costumes. I think I have just as much fun dressing my kids up and watching them as I did just being a kid on Halloween.

Such great costumes! Love the little frog :) My middle one wanted to be a ghost and I came up with all these cute ideas for a white shirt with ghost face and cute white tutu…but she wasn't having it! When she said ghost, she meant a sheet over her head, ha! Not as cute, but fine, in theory. In reality, she could hardly see with it on and switched to a witch last minute.
