Evelyn turned 10 months old on Monday.
She’s quickly approaching the toddler days and starting to leave the baby days behind.
I feel the same way about it.
Evelyn is into EVERYTHING. The girl never stops. I swear she is part energizer bunny. If she is awake, she is on the go.
Evelyn learned to climb the stairs this month. We’ve had a gate at the top of the stairs since she started the army crawl, and now we have one at the bottom of the stairs too.
Gates don’t keep Evelyn from getting into things though. Thankfully big brother and big sister are good about moving her away from things that she shouldn’t get into. But I’m pretty sure that they like moving her around more than she likes it…
In case you missed it, Evelyn said her first word this month! We’re working on more words with her. She likes impatiently crying out “Maaaaa” while she’s in her high chair and I’m still working to get her food on her tray. I’m not sure if she’s trying to say “more” or “mama,” but I think we’re getting close to something.
We have fully transitioned over to regular, doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, cow’s milk based baby formula. I took a stool sample in to the doctor’s office, and it showed no blood in it, so that means that she’s outgrown her milk protein intolerance. Bring on the Blue Bell!
I’ve seen Evelyn get up to a full crawl a couple times. So we know she can do it. It’s just that she prefers her army crawl.
Evelyn is a master cruiser, and has been brave enough to let go of whatever she’s holding onto a couple times. She can’t keep her balance long, and I’m certainly not pushing her to walk early!
I can’t believe in less than two months, we will have a one year old on our hands! I’m soaking up all of the cuddles that I can while she’ll still let me!
