The Easter Post

The annual Easter post.  I’m sure you’ve all been sitting on pins and needles waiting for it.  ;-)

We started our Easter festivities on Saturday with an Easter party on base.  The kids had a blast!  They decorated Peeps, went mining for jewels, followed string around the auditorium to find Target gift cards, and of course hunted for Easter eggs.

Evelyn couldn’t walk and carry her basket at the same time (she has her Mommy’s coordination!), but boy did she like finding eggs!

The big kids/flashes of lightning were too fast to catch with the camera!

Easter Day started off bright and early with Trenton and Charlotte coming in our room announcing that there was string everywhere.  Apparently that silly Easter Bunny had tied string to each of their doorknobs leading the kids around the house to find their Easter baskets!

The Easter Bunny still takes is easy on Evelyn though.

After breakfast, we were off to church where Evelyn amazingly made it through the entire Mass without needing to be taken to the back (her normal Sunday hangout).

But of course since she was so good during Mass, she wanted nothing to do with the post-Mass family photo…

After church we came home, changed clothes, ate some lunch, and headed to Hershey Park.  Oh, did I forget to mention that the Easter Bunny left us a note saying that he was sending us to Hershey for the day?  Well he did.  And the kids were super pumped!

Charlotte and Trenton each picked one big coaster to ride.

Charlotte went with the Trailblazer, her favorite from last year and the biggest coaster she’s able to ride for her height.

And Trenton decided to try out one that he hadn’t been on before, Comet.  I think it was bigger than he thought it would be!

We even caught a magic show.  And guess who got called up to the stage….Daddy!  All three kids loved seeing Daddy up on stage, and I think Jarrod liked it too!

By the time we got home, we were worn out.  Well, at least Jarrod and I were.  When we got in bed for the night, Evelyn was still awake in her bed, and Trenton and Charlotte were having a slumber party in Charlotte’s room reading books.  Jarrod and I are officially old….

I hope that everyone had a fabulous Easter!
