Snowmageddon 2016

Holy guacamole that was a snow storm!  We got 33 inches dumped on us here!

It started snowing Friday evening.  We woke up to over a foot of snow on the ground Saturday morning, and it just kept snowing and snowing and snowing and snowing.

Jarrod and I tried taking turns outside during the storm with the shovel so that it wouldn’t be as hard to clear after the storm, but it was a losing battle.

Thankfully our neighbors came over Saturday night once it stopped snowing to clear our drive with their snow blower.

Other than shoveling, we pretty much stayed inside on Saturday.  We did grab some snow to make snow ice cream though!

Today was the first day that the kids were back at school and Jarrod was back at work, so for three days, everyone got plenty of outside play time.  Even the little ones!

The snow was neat to see, but I’m hoping that 33 inches is a once in a lifetime event for us!

*Thank you all for your kind words, advice, and prayers regarding Jarrod’s upcoming deployment.  I really do have some amazing people in my life, and I cherish each of you!

Snow cream is the best! My mom used to make that for us all the time when I was growing up.

We missed the snow by about 50 miles! Half of me is really jealous, and the other half is really thankful we didn't have to deal with it..
